I’ve had another idea for another story that’s harassing me. I didn’t want to do NaNo because I really want to focus on Joey’s story and accomplish that. BUT, this other story keeps getting in the way. So I figure, what the heck. I’ll do NaNo, write the thing without worrying about dialogue, character depth, structure, or anything. Just write and have some fun. I’ve never worried about “winning” a NaNo – I don’t understand what that’s all about and I don’t think I care. But I’d love to meet some of the people around town that do it…. it’d be great to meet local writers instead of feeling all alone.
Besides, maybe writing the other one will unblock some of the issues I’m having with my novel. Who knows?

I’m not sure if I’ll do Nano this year or not. I’m working on some heavy revisions and I really just want to finish them up. But Nano’s such a great exercise that I’m really tempted. Hmmm.
Nano is really fun when working with local writers. There’s a bunch in my community that have created their own comparison forum (one of the writer’s husbands wrote the code for it) and they all race each other. It’s been a fun thing in years past. I hope you get to connect with writers in your area and mostly, just have a fun time!
Thank you! I hope it is fun… like you I really want to keep going on my current story. But, I think it’ll be good for me to branch out. The idea is for a high fantasy – not sure how I’ll do writing in that genre, but it’ll be fun to explore it. 🙂

I wasn’t going to do it but I had a great idea for a story on the weekend. Now I am a mass of indecision because I have all this other stuff to do. Knowing me I’ll probably do it. I am shaking my head at myself already 🙄
Lol – we can shake our heads at each other. I took the first step – I told Russell he’s going to have to give me my laptop back. The compromise – we buy him an iPod so he’ll still have internet. Eh – not a bad trade in my book – and I’ll have internet without fighting the kids for computer time! Woo-hoo! 😀
